I haven’t posted for a few days, mainly because it’s been a weird week and I didn’t know whether I wanted to talk about it!
I try to stay positive as a general rule, and there have been some highlights. Wednesday evening with the ‘Once upon a time’s girls (ate too much pizza, cookies and chocolate!) Friday visit to my daughter and her partner in Liverpool, Panto rehearsal eg.
But in between, my positivity has been sorely tested 😣
Earlier this year we moved from our family home for 19 years, into a bungalow because of my mobility issues. We fell in love with it the first time we viewed, and thought it was our dream home. Well we’ve been here since July, and we’ve had the roof leaking in to our bedroom, the boiler leaking through the kitchen ceiling, and we have so much condensation you wouldn’t believe it! There’s still a problem with parts of the roof. The roofer has been three times already, and is coming back today.
The last 4 1/2 years have been very difficult, and I really hoped things would start going right once we moved, so all these problems with the house have been somewhat of a setback for me emotionally, hence the ups and downs this week.
Today I’m off to Panto rehearsal, and we have a ‘Children in need’ theme. The kids (and big kids) can wear anything spotty, and we’ll be selling cakes during the refreshment break. So it should be a fun afternoon, just what I need!
