This weekend is my sister in law’s 60th birthday. She doesn’t look anywhere near that age so I’m wondering if she’s got a portrait in the attic 😁
Anyhoo, I’m making the cake, and other than saying she’d like a Madeira base, I have no other instructions, so I’m going all girly and making something pretty. The two tiers are baked, layered with buttercream and sitting in the freezer, and below is a picture of some of the pretty things I’ve made to decorate it with 😍
A while ago, I got some printed wafer paper, and one of them is a pretty floral design so I’m thinking of using that to wrap round the bottom tier. Photos of the finished article will follow soon!
There’s also a party to attend when all the baking is done, so my poor husband will have to endure a mini ‘fashion show’ while I decide what to wear! You know what I mean ladies? Usually trying everything on, then wearing the first thing you picked out? 😋
