Despite the wind and the rain, there are beautiful golden daffodils in full bloom in the garden, a sure sign that Spring really is in the air. So while we wait for the sunshine and the warmer temperatures to officially arrive, my floral arrangements will have to be in cupcake form (and I had buttercream leftover from weekend 😍)
The rest of my week I shall be devoting to a cake for a friend in the shape of ‘Kevin the Carrot’ Who? Yes, that’s what I said too! So cast your mind back to the Aldi Christmas advert, and the cute little carrot that ended up helping Santa’s sleigh go faster by being dangled in front of Rudolph’s nose. Well, that’s Kevin! Here he is…..
And one little girl is mad about him. What’s more she wants the ‘Carrot Cake’ made out of carrot cake! I like the way she thinks this young lady 😊
It’s also my daughter in law’s birthday this weekend, and I’ll be making her a special cake too. That one will have to stay under wraps for now though as she may see this post! 😋
