Do I make Easter Cakes? Or Birthday Cake? Or neither?

Hi everyone,

Every once in a while my birthday falls at Easter Time. This year it’s on Easter Saturday, which is great…I mean anytime a birthday falls on a Saturday is a bonus right?

Except I don’t have an excuse to make anything Easter-y, and my lovely daughter in law is making me a birthday cake, which will be amazing…..she’s a great baker 😊

So, apart from showing you ‘some I prepared earlier’ (like last year!) I thought I would share some Easter bakes from some of my favourite YouTubers.

These cake artists share their tutorials for free, and I’ve learned so much from them since I started this journey. It’s like having your own personal tutor, which I definitely couldn’t afford in ‘real life’

Well that should keep you busy for a while! Believe it or not, I had a hard time whittling it down to that selection! There are so many brilliant contributors out there 😍

Now this next one isn’t Easter based but I’m including it just because it’s a full length, practically real time tutorial which is incredibly detailed. It’s made by Serdar Yener of Yeners Way. If you go to his website, you can sign up for a free membership (if like me you’re fiscally challenged) but he posts tips every week on YouTube and then very generously a full tutorial every now and then!
